The order parameter S of Fe–Pt nanoparticles is estimated from X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns. The total intensity of a diffraction peak is obtained by Rietveld analysis as well as simply integrating the intensity. The Rietveld analysis is found to provide a plausible value of S even for a sample showing an XRD pattern with broad and overlapped peaks. Another order parameter Q, which is obtained from Mössbauer spectra, is introduced, and it is confirmed that Q is equivalent to the probability of Fe atoms being in the L10-type atomic arrangement. The coercivity of Fe–Pt nanoparticles is directly proportional to Q, while it vanishes at S=0.4, indicating that the magnetic property of Fe–Pt nanoparticles has a closer relationship to Q than S.  相似文献

Sb/ZSM-5 was obtained by solid-state reaction with the mixture of Sb2O3 and zeolite HZSM-5 under a dry nitrogen flow at 773 K. Characterization of the treated zeolite was undertaken with XRD, 27Al MAS NMR, BET, TGA and FT-IR. The results revealed that part of the antimony oxides migrated into the channels of zeolite, and decreased the Brönsted acid sites in Sb/ZSM-5 remarkably. The other part of antimony oxides together with the amorphous alumino-silicate in the products distributed on the external surface of zeolite ZSM-5 and modified it, while the framework of ZSM-5 in crystal phase was retained. The structure of occluded antimony oxide inside the channels of ZSM-5 was studied by XRD Rietveld method. The result showed that their structure can be described as a chain of non-perfect [Sb5O5(H2O)2]n5n+, which is parallel to the straight channel of ZSM-5. There is about 0.6 [Sb5O5(H2O)2]5+ unit in every cell of the ZSM-5 on an average.  相似文献

Composites containing Pd aggregates dispersed in amorphous silica are of interest from both a fundamental and applied point of view because of their attractive catalytic properties. The silica powders added with palladium, prepared by the sol-gel method, were studied using X-ray diffraction, and IR- and UV-Vis-spectrophotometry. Silica xerogel samples were prepared using a ethanol/H2O/TEOS molar ratio of 4:11.6:1 and loaded with sodium tetrachloropalladate. The silica xerogel microstructure of the powders was studied as a function of annealing temperature. Attention was paid to the evolution of the glass matrix as well as the palladium aggregates in the SiO2 matrix. We found in our samples partial crystallization of the glass matrix in form of quartz and cristobalite phases with palladium oxide and metallic palladium phase at 1000C. The Rietveld refinement method was used in order to determine the percentage of the phase contents.  相似文献

Zinc hydroxyfluoride (ZnOHF), obtained by coprecipitation of a zinc salt in aqueous HF, exhibits a variable stoichiometry Zn(OH)2−xFx, where x is tuneable from 0.63 to 0.87 by controlling the pH of the solution. The structure was determined from Rietveld refinements using X-ray powder diffraction data. Crystallizing with the orthorhombic symmetry (SG : Pna21), the ZnOHF-type structure exhibits two different anionic sites. A bond valence analysis shows that fluorine exclusively occupies the anionic site that has shorter contacts to zinc. This site is split into two partially occupied sites, one corresponding to the position of a fluoride ion and the other to the position of a hydroxide ion. Bond valence calculations show that the split site model gives a more accurate picture of the local coordination of the anions on this site.  相似文献

The structural and magnetic properties of a new ternary Ir-Mn-Ge phase, Mn3IrGe, as well as the solid solution Mn3Ir(Si1−xGex), 0?x?1, have been investigated by means of X-ray and neutron powder diffraction, magnetization measurements and first principles calculations. The crystal structure is cubic, of the AlAu4-type (an ordered form of the β-Mn structure), Z=4, space group P213, and the unit-cell dimension varies linearly with the silicon content. For all compositions, antiferromagnetic ordering is found below a critical temperature of about 225 K. The magnetic structure is noncollinear, as a result of frustrated magnetic interactions on a triangular network of Mn atoms, on which the moments rotate 120° around the triangle axes. The magnitude of the magnetic moment at 10 K is 3.39(4) μB for Mn3IrGe. The theoretical calculations reproduce with very good accuracy the magnitudes as well as the directions of the experimentally observed magnetic moments.  相似文献

The effect of substitution of the anion Te by Se in non-stoichiometric Cr5Te8 has been investigated with respect to its crystal structure, magnetic properties, and electronic structure. The compounds Cr(1+x)Q2 (Q=Te, Se; Te:Se=7:1; (1+x)=1.234(6), 1.264(6), 1.300(7)) were synthesized at elevated temperatures followed by quenching the samples to room temperature. The crystal structures have been refined with X-ray powder diffraction data with the Rietveld method in the trigonal space group with lattice parameters a=3.8651(1)-3.8831(1) Å and c=5.9917(2)-6.0528(2) Å. The structure is related to the NiAs structure with full and deficient metal layers stacking alternatively along the c-axis. The irreversibility in the field-cooled/zero-field-cooled magnetization suggests that the substitution effects of one Te by one Se is strong enough to cause cluster-glass behavior, from ferromagnetic Cr5Te8 to cluster-glass Cr(1+x)Q2. Non-saturation magnetizations at 5.5 T and the magnetic relaxation results further support the existence of cluster-glass behavior. Accompanying SPR-KKR (spin-polarized relativistic Korringa-Kohn-Rostoker) band structure calculations strongly support the observation that the Cr(1) sites are preferentially occupied by Cr atoms and predict that these compounds are metallic. Results for the spin-resolved DOS and magnetic moments on each crystallographic sites are presented.  相似文献

A combined synthesis, diffraction and dielectric properties investigation of the dependence (and effect) of Mn2+/Nb5+ ordering in Ba3MnNb2O9 (BMN) upon annealing atmosphere and processing conditions has been carried out. Annealing in different atmospheres was not found to significantly alter either nominal stoichiometry or structure type. The obtained structure type (disordered metrically cubic or ordered trigonal) as well as the measured electrical properties (in particular, the dielectric loss) were, however, found to be sensitive to the synthesis route. Samples obtained via solid-state reaction were found to be predominantly of 1:2 Mn2+/Nb5+ ordered, trigonal structure type whereas samples obtained via an aqueous solution route were found to be of a Mn2+/Nb5+ ‘disordered’, metrically cubic structure type. All solid-state synthesized samples showed reasonable dielectric properties. The microwave dielectric constant and dielectric quality factor, Q, at 8 GHz of an as-synthesized BMN sample were 38 and 100, respectively. By contrast, the dielectric loss of the metrically cubic, Mn2+/Nb5+ ‘disordered’ samples obtained via an aqueous solution synthesis process were significantly worse.  相似文献

A new quaternary layered carbide, Zr2[Al3.56Si0.44]C5, has been synthesized and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and thermopower and electrical conductivity measurements. The crystal structure was successfully determined using direct methods, and further refined by the Rietveld method. The crystal is trigonal (space group R3m, Z=3) with lattice dimensions of a=0.331059(5), c=4.09450(5) nm and V=0.38864(1) nm3. The final reliability indices calculated from the Rietveld refinement were Rwp=6.24%, Rp=4.21% and RB=0.82%. The crystal structure is composed of electroconductive NaCl-type ZrC slabs separated by Al4C3-type [Al3.56Si0.44]C3 layers. This material had thermoelectric properties superior to those of the ternary layered carbides Zr2Al3C4 and Zr3Al3C5, with the power factor reaching 7.6×10−5W m−1 K−2.  相似文献

Titanosilicates with complete or partial substitution of Ge or Nb in the framework and having the mineral pharmacosiderite topology were hydrothermally prepared and their ion-exchange properties towards Cs were studied for Ti/Ge/Si, Ti/Si, Nb/Ti/Si and pure Ge phases. The basis for the differences in the ion exchange properties measured as distribution coefficients (Kd) for these materials are detailed via structural characterization using the Rietveld refinement technique on the X-ray powder diffraction data. The differences in affinity towards Cs+ result either from the degree of hydration of the exchanger resulting in different coordination environments or the position of cesium ion in the eight-ring channel.  相似文献
